Cho flew to Los Angeles to deliver film work of Roy’s left knee. The film work ElAttrache will study was taken in May.
The Blazers did not send Roy to Los Angeles for a personal examination, and didn’t take new pictures of his knee because the Blazers medical staff feels no acute injury has taken place. Instead, they feel Roy’s swelling and pain is merely a reoccurrence of symptoms Roy feels every season. The hope is that Roy’s knee will recover as in previous seasons.
The concern, however, is that the pain and swelling of previous seasons has never limited Roy on the court as much as it has this season. Roy on Tuesday said his left knee has been drained twice this season, and that the swelling is more consistent than in year’s past.
“We want to see how this plays out over the next 10 days or so,’’ said Bob Myers, Roy’s agent. “This could be something ... or it could be nothing.’’
