Ohio State's vaunted recruiting class, minus top center Greg Oden, made its debut in an 80-57 exhibition victory over Findlay on Wednesday night.
The 7-foot Greg Oden, Indiana's high school Mr. Basketball from state champion Lawrence North, is still healing from surgery on his right wrist. Greg Oden watched the game from the sideline, but three other members of the class - dubbed the "Thad Five" for Buckeyes coach Thad Matta - scored in double figures. Daequan Cook had 13 points, junior-college transfer Othello Hunter had 11 and Mike Conley Jr. added 10 points and seven assists.
Conley was also Greg Oden's teammate at Lawrence North.
David Lighty, the fifth member of the highly rated class, finished with nine points and Cook also had eight rebounds.
Frank Phillips scored 14 points for NCAA Division II Findlay.
