The future of Ohio State basketball is very bright due the arrival of 7ft 1in, C, Greg Oden, who is the top-ranked prep player in the land. Greg Oden would've also been the first player chosen in this year's NBA draft had he been eligible for it, but the NBA's loss is Ohio State 's gain. The Buckeyes recruiting season had been dull until Greg Oden announced that he would attend, which triggered several marquee signings such as Greg Oden 's AAU teammate Mike Conley Jr. a sensational PG, highly rated swingman 6-5 David Lighty, and fellow Mc Donald's All-American Daequan Cook.
The impact Greg Oden had on this years recruits decision to come to OSU will be felt for years to come, every since Greg Oden agreed to join the Buckeyes, the talk has been about winning the Big Ten, and a possible Final Four appearance in Greg Oden's inaugural season, which is not so far fetched due to Greg Oden 's enormous talent which has been compared to the legendary Boston Celtics, C, Bill Russell. Greg Oden's strengths are passing, rebounding, and uncanny timing as a shot blocker, which is why it should be no surprise that the Ohio State Buckeyes are picked not only to win the Big Ten but to make their presence felt nationally, which they can thank Greg Oden.
