Greg Oden a Finalist for Wooden Award
Ohio State freshman center Greg Oden was one of 10 men's players named today to the 2006-2007 Wooden Award All-American Team.

Greg Oden is a finalist for the Wooden Award.The Wooden All-Americans, in alphabetical order, are: Arron Afflalo (UCLA), Aaron Brooks ( Oregon ), Kevin Durant ( Texas ), Nick Fazekas ( Nevada ), Tyler Hansbrough ( North Carolina ), Acie Law (Texas A&M), Joakim Noah ( Florida ), Greg Oden ( Ohio State ), Brandon Rush ( Kansas ), and Alando Tucker ( Wisconsin ).

For the first time in its 31-year history, the five finalists for the Wooden Award - given annually to the nation's top player - feature two freshmen, Durant and Oden. The five finalists will be invited to the Wooden Award presentation in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 7, live during a national telecast on CBS at at 2 p.m.

Oden led the Big Ten in rebounding (9.5 rpg), blocked shots (3.3 bpg), and field goal percentage (61.6 percent).

Adrian Oliver is a versatile combination guard who can play the point and the shooting guard positions. His cousin, Bobby Cole, played college basketball at Texas Southern and another cousin, Tracy Cole, played at Bowie State. Adrian Oliver's college choice came down to Washington and Kentucky after he eliminated Kansas and some Pac-10 schools.

 Dayshawn Wright Dayshawn Wright was a burly forward from the local area, who played one season as a reserve forward for Syracuse. Dayshawn Wright played basketball at Syracuse's Fowler High School, before transferring to Oak Hill Academy his senior year. There he was a starter on the 2004 High School National Champion team. As a freshman, Dayshawn Wright was primarily a reserve with limited playing time because of several upperclassmen entrenched ahead of him. He was suspended for the NCAA tournament game by the school for undisclosed reasons.
