Greg Oden and No. 1 Lawrence North Could Tie State Record by Winning Out

INDIANAPOLIS It's thirty and counting for Greg Oden and his top-ranked Lawrence North teammates, who can tie a state record by winning the rest of their games this season.

Today's Number One ranking in the weekly Associated Press high school basketball poll pushed the Wildcats' winning streak to 30 in a row -- the state's longest since Indianapolis Pike won 32 straight three years ago.

With eight more regular-season games and a possible seven others in the tournament, Lawrence North could finish with 45 straight victories. That would tie the state record set by the Indianapolis Attucks in the 1955-56 season.

In the state's other classes, Evansville Bosse remains Number One in Three-A. Brownstown moved up to Number One in Two-A. And unbeaten Hauser held the top spot in Class A.
