10 New Faces DaShonte Riley The high school message board Michigan Preps has a little mention today claiming "Wes" from Nike" will be taking a top Detroit high school freshman to the Super Bowl in a limousine. DaShonte' Riley is one of the big names in Detroit basketball. The Detroit News says he is "6-foot-10, perhaps en route to seven feet." (He's a freshman!) Deshonte Riley goes to Detroit Cass Tech (where, despite this report, he is not a girl) the alma mater of Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, actor David Alan Grier, actress Lily Tomlin, singer Diana Ross, the White Stripes, and others. Deshonte Riley has played for an AAU team called Team Detroit, which was founded by the Atlanta Hawks scout Rodney Heard.
